Interesting Links for Sunday, May 20, 2012

Here are a few links I came across today that sparked some sort of interest in me. I'm sharing them with you and hope you find them useful.

Microsoft Holds First Security Development Conference … Microsoft held it's first Security Development Conference, which appears to be geared towards getting developers to follow a Security Development Lifecycle in developing Applications. Can we get them to hold a Networking Development Conference so application developers can develop better application communication and can stop forcing the network to fix their problems?

Online Courses (via securemaryland.org) … Some Free Online training that includes courses that cover topics such as Python. Looks to be a TON of classes available, somewhere in the neighborhood of over 200 courses.

Ben Rothke from Security Reading Room on Elementary Information Security … Sometimes there are certain desk references one just has to have in this business, Routing TCP/IP volume 1 and 2 for example. So for anyone looking for a comprehensive information security reference guide - Elementary Information Security is what you want to take a look at.
