When visiting the Cisco campus in San Jose, California as part of Gestalt IT’s Networking Field Day 2 I knew that I would be exposed to certain things that were under embargo or NDA. That’s the nature of events like these. After our visit to the CCIC , hosted by @CiscoDC and a stellar presentation by Ron Fuller, I couldn’t help but realize that I was quite possibly sitting in a room that was hiding some Top Secret cisco development. Apparently Cisco is developing and testing a new line of Fast Packet delivery projectors!

The new projectors can deliver IP based graphics to a screen at over 3x’s the speed of competitors. The new fast packet projection line should launch next year after internal decisions are made on whether to use merchant silicon or not. The new fast packet projectors will enhance their meeting room product lines and remove the need to use light to deliver images to a white board for technical seminars with the new patented IP based delivery of images over air.
Wrap-up
The visit to the CCIC was a good start to a great Networking Field Day 2 and I have many more posts to follow, which will of course have some real information. Now before anyone gets hurt, I think you all know this is a joke. Still, I have to ask, seriously, what are ALL those projectors for?
